It's simple. Science has condemned cattle. No mention of volcanoes, wildfires and all the other things we don't control.  . . .

Unfortunately at this point, many skeptics will simply disregard anything that NASA says.  They're all Obama Democrats over there, dontcha know?

overheard in a bar (a bastion of intellectual debate):

"Climate change isn't man made, it's cyclical and been happening for hundreds of thousands of years, the scientists don't know anything. one time they say it's warming, then they say it's cooling, now they say it's warming.  scientists don't know anything about the climate"

"But how do you know it's cyclical then?"

"because you can see the changes trapped in arctic ice, and stuff. there's evidence. it's science"

"so, scientists don't know anything about climate.  but your argument is based on climate science?"

They can't predict what the weather will be like next year but we are supposed to buy their models for 20 years in the future and give government more control of our lives?
  • weather and climate are not the same thing for one thing.

my point is: don't go disparaging science, and then go using science to back it up.

You're "supposed" to do what your overlords say - screw the scientific method if its results are inconvenient, eschew facts in favor of "gut" feelings, demonize the government as a "controller of lives", embrace government when it aligns with constitutionalism and laws against baggy pants and homos.  Etc.  STFU DB. I'm sick of stupidity.  You're a ground zero lemming in that regard.

    Kiddos

This ain't really the space to argue about this. As I mentioned up thread, I'm an Egger who loves to eat beef (when I can afford it) and a tree hugger since child hood.

Spent some time last night trying to find the snap of me hugging the big old oak in our farm house back yard when I was 4 or 5. No luck.

But my opine is this. If you are going to eat ruminant flesh, do it w. an Egg or similar ancient style cooker. Do it well, and be efficient. That makes every small portions of ruminant so good, and the carbon footprint is minimized

Do limit your consumption of Cesium 137, aka Cs-137. Or don't if you really want to prevent AGW. Human consumption of Cs137 has been found to be a most efficient way of reducing anthropomorphic self indulgences of all kinds. 'Ceptin' of course, suicide.

New thread "Wagyu al'a Fukushima." Tasted so good, but how do you guys reduce the green glow?

You can live a life of freedom or being afraid of everything that might kill you. Our average age is going up. I'm so damn glad this and a few other generations didn't build this country. Fu+*&&ING whiners. Move somewhere where the water will kill you..

I grew up in the country where Sunday morning grandma would cut the head off a chicken, pluck and fry a masterpiece. Are animals scared? No ****. Will I eat them? No ****. It's an animal.

What science? No increase in temperature in the past 15 year! But that doesn't bring attention to all the Climate modeling that's been wrong in the past. Plus half the "World Leaders" who buy this crap that tell us we should reduce our carbon footprint are doing the opposite.

Its akin to all the anti gun wackos running around with armed body guards but telling us we shouldn't have guns. How do you take these people serious?

Dave, unless you are a climatologist, i really dgaf what your opinion is. I never asked for it, and have been doing just fine without it.

And i'm not stupid enough to think you care about mine. So don't pretend to ask for it.
