Trying to buy a mini max for NOT $600... I'm in asheville nc for the week and heading back to beaufort sc friday. I guess columbia, greenville, asheville, etc is in play... any help?

well I switched because my KJjr is trashed and starting to rust (my fault) for letting a friend borrow it... i could clean it up but i also wanted a shorter version and to not take up so much room.. i have tentatively sold my kj for 225 and was trying to get into a mm for 500 or less.. not sure if its possible

There is one place in Atlanta that sells for $500 if that is an option. I haven't seen any below $500.

$508 at my dealer, but that's in South Florida. List is $598 I believe so under $500 is a 17% discount. Let us know if you find it as that dealer may get additional business from the folks around here.

If you are not in a big hurry they run specials while Eggtoberfest is going on in October. They usually match the eggfest demo prices for new eggs.

I was just getting ready to put my 2¢ in on the gas money. Lol. I know everyone wants a good deal, but spending $100 in gas just doesn't make sense. If you find a deal let your local dealer know. I have a KJ Jr also.
It's difficult to see the metal rusting, it seems to be very well protected.
We are fairly humid here, but I don't anticipate a problem.
My Large BGE is just over 5 years old and not a spot of rust.John in the Willamette Valley of Oregon -
Letting folks borrow stuff is the kiss of death. I bought a Stihl chainsaw the other day and the guy said "It'll last you a lifetime as long as you don't lend it out. I make a living repairing lent tools."

The clean burn altered the top cap, now rusting part of it... the stand has some rust but nothing major... I found a dealer on my route home to do 512 plus tax.. total with deflector is 585.73 after tax..Beaufort, SC

All in Columbia are $598 - $599. That said, keep in mind that it includes the ash tool, nest, starter and bag of lump. If you don't need these items, you should be able to negotiate down the price some.
If you stop through, your most convenient location would be Ace Hardware of Cayce 815 State St. Cayce, SC. 29033 US. They do have one in stock. Never been in that store though.
