My dogs are egg trained.

I was just grilling some simple chicken breasts for a salad tonight, short on time, so I decided to use my gasser. It's been a while since I've used it.

I brought the prepped chicken outside and the dogs did their usual thing, they wait at the back door to go out with me. My grillin' buddies. Well my gasser is just outside the door on my deck, my egg is down below on the concrete. Immediately the dogs take off downstairs and end up by the egg, not realizing I stopped to use the gasser. Totally confused them, kind of made me rethink the gasser myself.

Then of course at dinner, my wife comments that the chicken isn't the same. I think the dogs said something to her.

As soon as I grab my grill tool set my dog runs for the back door. Then he lays about five feet from the egg and watches me cook.

We were dog sitting my in-laws water spaniel on sunday and i happen to be cooking a pork butt for the 4th. While duffy was roaming the flower bed off the deck, i opened the egg to pull off the butt and that dog literally put his nose in the air, turned around and come running back to the egg and sat in the gazedo. My father inlaw warned me that duffy was partial to pulled pork.... it was the funniest thing to see... he is a well trained dog.
