OT - Sitting in line at Franklin's in a thunderstorm
Some people have questioned the wisdom of waiting here for 4 hours, but when your teenage son sets the alarm for 6:30 AM on a Sunday and wants to do it, the only thing I know to do is enthusiastically support him and join him.
@cazzy, are there any special words or handshake I can use to drop your name and get VIP treatment?

@Foghorn... what a great memory created today for you and your son! Please post a couple of pics of what you get to eat. I always cook my brisket using Aaron's technique but I'm pretty sure he's not spilling all the details! Someday I hope to make it there too.

The good news is that you can still drink in a thunderstorm while waiting...provided that you planned properly. Tell me you planned properly. JK. Great thing to do with your kid or anyone else who is cool.Large Big Green Egg in a nest. North Shore of Boston.

...And the weather alert on my phone just went off for the second time this morning. This time it was for flash flooding. The first one was for dangerous lightning I think.

Egg-green with envy. Both about the food and the bonding experience. Am reading Aaron's book now, with ribs on the egg and a thunderstorm coming. Not the same, but with ya in spirit! It's a 302 thing . . .
