How ya like the CI grid with the woo set-up on the MM? I was about to buy the grid and held back. I have one on the LBGE and love it.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

@NPHuskerFL - I don't have the woo yet. I purchased the CI grid a long time ago to sear closer to the coals on the large spider but then I discovered caveman style... It is nice to have but if it was to do over again, I would not get it. CI is a PITA to maintain in my opinion and the SS grid works just fine for me. I already had it so might as well use it.NPHuskerFL said:How ya like the CI grid with the woo set-up on the MM? I was about to buy the grid and held back. Well, damn. Glad I didn't bother taking pics of my measly steaks tonight.

I guess maybe I've had the CI grid for so long I don't really think about it as far as maintenance. The radiant heat does most of my cleaning and occasionally I'll hit it with oil but, I find that it's pretty maintenance free. Mine is well seasoned so it comes clean pretty easily. The CI for the MM was on sale for $36 but, most of the time I use a CI pan so I optd to go that route. I love mine in the LBGE though.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Nice, the MM sure does a great job.

Please tell me more about this CI grid. Is it a BGE product? Thx!NPHuskerFL said:I guess maybe I've had the CI grid for so long I don't really think about it as far as maintenance. Home-run right there. Most eggcellent cook, as always!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

@YEMTrey Yep it's the 18" CI grid from BGE. And just so you know it comes with a 5 yr warranty. Mine stays in the egg. There are two distinct sides one side is beveled to use for grill marks in steaks etc & the other is flat with wider metal for veggies, fish etc.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Mahvellous!!
It almost looks like you cooked it sous vide because of the edge to edge pink. Nicely done.
