Nice!  Did you just cook it direct, no reverse sear?

@NPHuskerFL - I don't have the woo yet.  I purchased the CI grid a long time ago to sear closer to the coals on the large spider but then I discovered caveman style...  It is nice to have but if it was to do over again, I would not get it.  CI is a PITA to maintain in my opinion and the SS grid works just fine for me.  I already had it so might as well use it.

I guess maybe I've had the CI grid for so long I don't really think about it as far as maintenance. The radiant heat does most of my cleaning and occasionally I'll hit it with oil but, I find that it's pretty maintenance free. Mine is well seasoned so it comes clean pretty easily. The CI for the MM was on sale for $36 but, most of the time I use a CI pan so I optd to go that route. I love mine in the LBGE though.

Please tell me more about this CI grid. Is it a BGE product?  Thx!

@YEMTrey Yep it's the 18" CI grid from BGE. And just so you know it comes with a 5 yr warranty. Mine stays in the egg. There are two distinct sides one side is beveled to use for grill marks in steaks etc & the other is flat with wider metal for veggies, fish etc.

    Mahvellous!!

It almost looks like you cooked it sous vide because of the edge to edge pink. Nicely done.

Just on the egg, no sous vide this time.
