@johnmitchell Not meaning to highjack, but Pinehurst brought back memories! I homesteaded at Bragg for about a decade and one of my 1SGs lived there.

@SGH
No worries
I know you and few others live in oyster country and have consumed some large amounts recently; knowing that, I figured I probably did okay with my first little batch if you liked them
I'll keep working on the pics

After looking at those oysters again, just wanted to say awesome job brother. There is nothing that I enjoy more than chargrilled oysters. They are truely one of my very favorites.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Thanks... I apprecite it. Just sorry I haven't tried them or made them before now. Not sure about eating them raw; but I'll probably try that to since it can't be that much different from sushiSGH said:@hapster

You know it's funny but it actually is different, though I'm not sure how best to describe the difference. But if you can handle sushi you can probably handle raw oysters.hapster said:@hapster After looking at those oysters again, just wanted to say awesome job brother. I've been holding off on chargrilled oysters for some unknown reason. This just may be the motivation I need to hunt some down.Thanks for sharing.

I used to love raw oysters...until about 6 weeks ago. I may never eat another raw oyster. Took about a week to recover.hapster said:@hapster After looking at those oysters again, just wanted to say awesome job brother. There is nothing that I enjoy more than chargrilled oysters. I've actually only ever had raw oysters.... and I certainly won't be having raw oysters on the beach in the Dominican Republic ever again..... but I do enjoy raw oysters for sure.
What would you compare a cooked oyster to? Gotta give these a try sometime.
@hapster - jeeebuz that cook looks great! But... But.... I'm confused..... Spaghetti and Meatballs, Grilled Chicken, Steak, and Oysters..... how many meals WAS this? haha
[Insert clever signature line here] -
@SGHI think this one is more appropriate for oysters. Great cook Hap, I need to try these as well._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide
