Saturday Pork Loin...

Survived the slumber party...
Got up and out early this morning and finished all of my errands, so I should be able to hit the deck later for some adult beverages, egging, and baseball.
Doing a stuffed boneless pork loin tonight. Planning on stuffing with spinach, prosciutto, and mozzarella cheese. Then doing it indirect with some hickory. Planning on doing some roasted garlic gravy / sauce to go with it and asparagus as the side.
Wife has requested some killer mac n cheese for tomorrow... Planning a Cajun style with some shrimp & andouille, using some sharp cheddar, smoked Gouda, and Munster for the cheese portion.
Hope everyone has a great weekend...

Lots of stuffed pork loin talk on here...I'm gonna have to give it a go. You sear at the end or not at all?
-
Not sure... may sear at the start then go indirect to finish

Hi all...
Tigers are kicking the O's around so far... Here's some pics so far
Pork roast is ready for later, currently listening to the game, enjoying the sunshine and cool wind. The roasting garlic smells amazing...
The garlic is for a sauce for the pork. Shredded the cheese for tomorrow's Mac-n-Cheese...

Covered it with some oil and salt and pepper. Planing on using it in a few hours, no ideas on how long it would last...henapple said:How did you roast it and does it keep?

Looks like you've got it all under control
Just got home, spent the morning help prep ball fields (winter really made a mess this year, the afternoon helping with practice for my big guy and his team. First practice of the season, 2 weeks late thanks to weather. Getting ready (drinking a beer) for pizza on the egg tonight.

I'm always impressed by the variety of foods you cook. If it is one thing I find is I get comfortable with the same 8-10 cooks and find myself always going back to those staple cooks rather than mixing in a stuffed pork loin for e.g. Nice job
