OT: The new "mancave"

I tried to find the thread with the theme above, but I overlooked it or cant find it. I was in mid renovation when the OP was put up so now I am posting my "mancave"

SWMBO and I planned and designed the entire layout and picked all colors and schemes.

 

The pic with nothing in it is for the pool table, that will be coming soon enough.

Now we just have to add a few pictures etc, ( we have what we want just need to find homes for them on the walls)

    I always said if I won the lottery I wanted to put one in. When I mentioned it to SWMBO she was like "yeah we should". Sometimes I think I already won the lottery.

    Wow...that is beautiful.  Holy piss you actually have a urinal!    

    One suggestion- I would add some black out curtains on the windows.  You need the option of going "full cave mode" so you can pass out on the couch and sleep until noon. 



    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    The audio is as follows:

    My wife and I prefer the simplistic and sleek lines and opted away from the traditional 5.1 system

     

    For the media area We will be running a Sonos Playbar and Sub. I will also be installing 2x Play1's in the ceiling above the theater seating. This will be going through a Sharp Aquos Quattron 70" (LC-70LE757U) which has pass through capabilities so 5.1 will not be an issue. The Sonos does not decode DTS but having it run through a PS4 and setting up the audio settings on the PS4 and with the tv settings and the pass through, it will be decoded. It took me weeks to make sure the set up would work with the Sonos system. From hearing it in a large store, it will be super in an enclosed space.

    Seeing as this is an ICF foundation, I have also prewired for a traditional 5.1 sound system. All the lines are terminated in the wall unit with connectors in place and run up into the ceiling for a potential projector and electricity is there as well.

    Very nice set up. Love the clean lines and look you have.

    I have the Sonos play bar , Sub and ( 2 ) Play:1 speakers set up in my media room and it absolutely rocks! The clarity from the Play Bar is second to none! In addition the user interface for Sonos is incredible. We installed Sonos throughout the home and  Patio.as well . We couldnt be more pleased.

    BTW...your man cave is pretty awesome.  My next house was going to have a theater room...might have to do a combo.  Urinal was a nice damn touch.
    Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....

    It's a 70" fireplace. It's wrapped in black quartzite so it sparkles with the LED back lights on. It rotates through 14 colors it can be locked in to one specific color. The total dimensions of the stone are 12x4.

    Is the urinal and toilet over carpet or concrete? I can't tell in the pics. If the former, that's a recipe for disaster. 

    Also, I'd consider tiling behind the urinal. Bowhunr is right, men are pigs.

    Extremely nice!!! I got my basement finished but its not complete. I havent decide on the flooring yet. I may go with wood like you. I have a spot for my pool table as well. I had my contractor install the plug for the hanging light. You ave a beautiful set-up.

    That's what I was thinking. Hopefully sealed too or it will get that stadium "je ne sais quoi"

    I like what you did with the bar, I think my wife and I might have to do the same just because a walk behind may take up way to much room.  Great man cave, very nice touch with the fireplace.  I am more partial to huge speakers and glowing tubes but the clean look you have looks great.

    ya but you'll have to excavate the floor to accommodate the u-bend/plumbing below the urinal, or have a built-in step stool  :D  sorry bud, can't help it!

    Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.
