Saw this at a local hardware store that sells eggs. Thought it was pretty nifty, and would have bought one if I had a platesetter. I think it is for the large PS.

just buy some welding gloves at home depot for $8
hey, I don't mind spending money for something that does add value. But there is a whole market out there of add on's - that are way too expensive.

My grill gloves work just fine for this task."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

if you want expensive, check out their grill light (which was also in the store. The light is <$5 at Harbor Freight. Their price for light + bracket was $38!! That's a pricey bracket.boatbum said:just buy some welding gloves at home depot for $8

Getting a hot setter out of the egg has always been an uncomfortable experience. Gloves, the claw and all kinds of home made tools have been "developed". I use a set of water pump pliers and my home made ash rake.@Eggcelsior - came to mind when I read the OP, too many times through Toy Story with the grandkids...Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Tough crowd. There's people who think the whole idea/price of an Egg is ludicrous. "Just go buy an $89 gasser. Cooks just fine" So much for someone TRYING to offer a better mousetrap. When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right. With THAT traffic?)

After egging and reading about many options/opinions on how eggers handle the platesetter for five years, I'm leaning towards getting thisBonus: it's available from a local dealer, no shipping, no customs hassle.canuckland
