That's some expensive taste. I've had two (of 4) bottles of wine in the past week that cost over $40 and was feeling decadent....ringkingpin said:For thursday's thankgiving we opened three bottles of 1975 cheval blanc. One was corked, one was good, one was excellent! For yesterday's thanksgiving, I opened two 2000 Hudelot Noellat Clos de Vougeot and they were awesome.

Angel's Envy bourbon. I picked up the first bottle I could find (been looking a while). It's aged normal for about 6 years, the put into port wine barrels for 3 to 6 months. I'm telling you it's a bit pricy but the finish is dates, raisins and a hint of grapes. You can still taste the oak. Give it a try.
The best things in life are not things.

A little bit of everything - this was Thanksgiving day and Friday for about 12 of us. Doesn't include the beer on tap, or all the partial bottles of wine and vodka (in addition to the 2 empty Tito's in the pic, there was about half a 1.75 liter bottle gone). A lot of folks didn't make it this year, so there were only 20 of us in the house including kids. Way too much food with 20 pounds of pulled pork and a 10 pound brisket off the Egg, a traditional roast turkey and a spatched one I did on the gasser. Lots of leftovers.

Well. After four whole days off work I managed to work through almost 2 twelve pack of yuengling light and 3 bottle of wine. I told my wife that most of it went into the cooking. :^oSlumming it in Aiken, SC.
