Well, actually I have a question for all you eggers..
Cooking with cast iron on the egg ( with the egg closed ) seems interesting. Does anyone know of a CI frying pan, kinda large, with a "detachable" handle?? I have been thinking on getting old CI pans and cutting off the handle but then the seasoning process is a headache. Just wishin

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada -
I think the 17 inch skillet with the loop handles will fit on the egg.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
What do you cook now @stratoboy ? Have you tried pizzas? Baking? Wokkin is definitely fun, just get your mise en place before you get started because there's no time to stop and cut things up. And get you some good welding gloves.
Can also be done on a mini (or a small or medium or XL egg)

or otherwise cook directly on the coals?
These are both great conversation pieces when hosting a dinner - and the quality of the product is as good as any technique I have ever used.

I use a cast iron skillet on the large egg(direct) for blackening fish. Which cooks very fast, and when i am finished, i remove the skillet and wipe it out with a clean dry towel and let it cool down before storing it away.
