my dealer must have cleaned out his back room and found this old sucker laying around (mini egg). i want a second egg been debating between a small and a mini its just me and the wife. he has it tagged at 285 but i do a lot of business there and think i can get either a) the stand tossed in (listed at 45$) or b) the price dropped under 250$. I won't beat him up because i know it is a ridiculously low compared to the 399 i've been seeing on here. it is old, i mean old handle, old hinge, old dust on it. below is a pic of the style and the stand he has. the wife finally gave me the ok when i told her she could get another dog, harder than negotiating with a child.

I love my small and am perfectly happy with taking it places. But that is a great deal, I say go for it! Buy buy buy. The handle and hinge don't make the food taste any different than the new style. Make sure you get the warranty - it's a new egg from a dealer. You want the warranty. Should be no problem unless it's used. I got Mickey setting me up with a mini for $399. I don't mind paying that price, but if that deal landed in my lap (with warranty) I'd snap it up and cook a steak.

i thought so i guess i was more worried it was smaller in the grid area or something goofy like that. he had one in june when i got my egg i went back and july and he said he sold it, i don't see why it wouldn't have full warranty egg dealer and new and all. i know what i'm going to do on my lunch break tomorrow.

If you plan on getting a Woo from the ceramic grill store the grate needs to be 10" not 9.5" which I think the older ones were. FYI u don't need the 10" but its a better fit and more safe. I used the 9.5 while my 10" was in the mail only to find iI could have gotten by and saved $35. Still use my 9.5 in the woo at times.Seattle, WA

definitely pass on the stand, ive seen pics of broken eggs because the stand fits too tight and doesnt allow the egg to expand when hot

Good to know @SkinnyV I don't have a mini but was looking at options if I were to get one and thought I would mention what was on the CGS website. . You guys are too funny no one where I live appreciates the egg the dealer specializes primarily in filthy gassers with custom islands. Only ever has a couple eggs on display but they are nice people. -
