Cooking two pizzas at the same time

I am having a party in a few weeks where I will be making around 10 pizzas on the egg. I want to cook them two at a time. Does anybody have experience with this? What was your setup and any pitfalls i should be aware of?

No setup that I know of to allow you to do that unless you're doing a couple of small pizzas side by side on the same stone. Looks like it's time to pick up a second egg.

griffin does it on an adjustable rig. There are pics of it on here somewhere.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

I do it all the time using the 2 tier swing grate - of cousre I had to invest in two stones. We often have pizza parties and cook 8 - 10 at a time..... Good luck.....LBGE - Swing Grate - Platesetter - Pimaster110 - Pizza Stones - Maverick E732 - Thermapen - Dutch Ovens Abbeville, SC

I guess with the spider and adjustable rig you could probably do a few...stone for indirect down on the spider and then a stone for the pies on different levels. Would be very awkward loading lower levels though.

I've done it before with the adjustable rig and a grid extender. There's an example of it on the ceramic grill store's website

Well I'll be. I have an AR and two stones, but I never thought that would work. I thought the top stone would deflect way too much heat down on the pizza below. Learn something new every day at this place.

It works best with three stones though.

I assume you mean one used as a "platesetter" and the other two to cook the pies on?

I have the CGW 2-tier which would allow two big stones. I found using the XL stone allows for several small pizzas to be made and most people enjoy making their own as part of the "experience". I'm not sure which size(s) egg you have though.XL BGE - Small BGE - A few Komodo Kamado Serious Big Bad 42sFollow me on Instagram: @SSgt93

Yes I do it using the adjustable rig..an oval stone as the 1st barrier and then 2 levels abve that using 2 more stones. It works great. I can get the BGE to 600-700 even with all of that mass. If you search on the other forum you will find my post with pics...it may even be posted on this forum...

I say it is a good excuse to add another egg. No problem doing two at a time then.
