    Thanks! I have been debating what to post for a while. I joined 1 month ago, and as was posted further up the thread, I used Stike, nolaegghead, you, Cen-tex Smoker and others to find well-researched tips on egging. Finding Stike-like comments on what I was looking for prevented re-posts. Nothing says BGE like early 90's gangsta rap.I had 2 drinks tonight. One for me and one for my homie, Stike.
    heh...I tried to do one 'for my homie' in Stikes honor about 10 times today...but ended up drinking each time instead.  I tried to make Stike proud on my posts....geez, this is staring to sound like a eulogy.   

    Today I was about to fire up my brand new redneck cold smoker when this blasted hurricane track lined up right over New Orleans and ended up climbing up and down ladders, on and off the roof, and cuttin' down branches.

    28 days in the fridge? I think that meat will spoil....it will surely smell bad...and won't be safe to eat!

    I'll add my voice to those who will miss him and hope he comes back.  I enjoyed having some underlying theory to go along with the "do this" instruction.

    That is a shame that they banned Stike, he was one of the good guys for sure.  It really doesn't surprise me that BGE is taking the website down the toilet with the rest of the company though.  At least they're consistent.

    He had much good info.  I guess I don't see in this day and age how anybody gets mad over forum posts.  Laughing it off leads to more fun and less drama.  I hope he comes back.

    If HQ is going to ban helpful people, then I will they would also install "stickys" or FAQs or a better way to search previous threads.  I always end up with a bunch of stuff I wasn't trying to search for.

    I can't speak for Stike, but I believe he actually relished sparring with trolls.  "Fat up or fat down" and the other most-asked 250 questions gets a little old after 15,000 posts.

    I love Stike's post as much as anyone but maybe his temp ban, as it appears to be lifted per his profile was good. Him having a short break from answering the same question couple thousand times and explains the why behind it as well. Maybe he'll come back refreshed and there will be an entire new collections of newbies here to ask gasket and temp questions.
