the dog was a hoot. after dragging my ice shanty for miles across a frozen lake he comes across a large group grilling meat, they toss him a hot dog which he catches and drops, sits down, and just stares at the guy. took me about 15 minutes to catch up. guys asks why he didnt eat the hot dog, i look at the grill and its covered with deer meat. toss him a piece of venison, it vanishes immediately, then he ate the hot dog. pizza night though he turned into an al bundy looking out the window for the delivery guy

Northern Ontario Canada, its out in the middle of nowhere. This time of year the deepest pools are 3-4' deep, so you can just walk up it and cast into the pools for brook trout.

This is what we started doing, especially with the larger breed dogs. I neutered one Aussie at typical 12 weeks and then another is almost 2 years and about to loose his pearls. They are from the same lineage, and the difference in bone growth, chest, and hips is substantial.
