Whether you love or hate him, he was a good race car driver.
The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

Wildman. Dude could drive. Shame to see him gone at 41 from “an illness”

The Biffle Family, Kyle Loftis, and now Kyle Busch. It's been a bad stretch for the car community here lately. Hopefully some brighter days ahead. Prayers for all families.

As above 41 is to da-m young.  Below from Childress Racing:

NASCAR and Richard Childress Racing shared a joint statement on Busch's passing:

"Our entire NASCAR family is heartbroken by the loss of Kyle Busch. A future Hall of Famer, Kyle was a rare talent, one who comes along once in a generation. He was fierce, he was passionate, he was immensely skilled and he cared deeply about the sport and fans. Throughout a career that spanned more than two decades, Kyle set records in national series wins, won championships at NASCAR’s highest level and fostered the next generation of drivers as an owner in the Truck Series. His sharp wit and competitive spirit sparked a deep emotional connection with race fans of every age, creating the proud and loyal ‘Rowdy Nation.’ Our thoughts are with Samantha, Brexton and Lennix, Kyle and Samantha's parents, Kurt and all of Kyle’s family, Richard and Judy Childress, everyone at Richard Childress Racing, his teammates, friends and fans. NASCAR lost a giant of the sport today, far too soon.

You never know so enjoy he time you have!

So sad. I met Kyle several times back in the day. He started in nascar in 2005 and I worked for CarQuest Auto Parts at the time. Being close to the track and IMS, there were several opportunities to “hang out” with the race teams/crews/etc.

Hell of a driver and a really nice guy from what I saw out of the car.

Such a great loss to his family and the racing community.  Seems like details are beginning to surface regarding this severe illness.

Severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis… yikes.  Terrible way to go.

Unfortunately, my guess at Pneumonia was correct.   He actually had 'driving pneumonia'.     WAY too young since caught in time, it is quite treatable.

I have 1st hand knowledge of much of this.    I went ot work and climbed the stairs to the 2nd level, where my post was.   I had to sit on the sofa for 10 minutes to recoup.   I was a goner.    Maybe 2 or so hours later, I told the boss I was DONE and went home.    Wife found me sitting in my chair holding a glass of water.  This was about 3pm.   I had pretty much gone inert just sitting.   She took me to my doctor who told me to go to hospital and check myself IN.  Which I did.   IV of antibiotics.  Heart Monitor.    The works......Wife was real good and stayed in what was certainly utter boredom for 2 days before they cut me loose.

If Busch had just had somebody looking after him and he LISTENED, his death was very probably Not Necessary.

Sorry, but I could care less about 'Nascar'.   All ONE car!   Give me Fireball Roberts and Smokey  at the wheel of Stock Cars......
When I was a kid, there were a couple small ovals within driving range.    That is where all the talent started, mainlly driving some gas stations fixer-upper.
Demo Derby was always a fan favorite, but I never liked the 150mph Nascar Version......
