Stealing Cap's line, better to be lucky than good. Look what showed up in my mailbox yesterday! Thanks to the semi anonymous thoughtful gifter, it's very much appreciated my friend.

That is one fancy spoon. Don’t you dare use that in Ben and Jerry’s or Blue Bell. That’s a homemade gelato only type of instrument

No doubt. Eggheads have proven that they're a bunch of kind, generous, hooligans over, and over

Someone obviously thought that you were deserving of such a Gesture. (I’ll see myself out.)

Neat spoon. I have one too.

For the members who have them, which I think may include @paqman and @DoubleEgger, how do you store them? Really wish someone made an aftermarket wall mount. Have searched online with no success.

You don’t have a dedicated spoon drawer? 🤣😂

    Cool gift!

    @Legume

See the back of OP’s box.

I’ve used it for making salad dressing and for basting thus far, but have only had it a very short while.

Sorry, I need to be more specific - because you can do all of those with a regular spoon. I guess I'm asking what are owners of these spoons using them for and do they seem better than regular spoons?

it holds exactly 1T (0.5 oz).

There is a variation which is slotted. Unclear as to how much that one holds even though also marked 1T.

The underside of the spoon tells a better story... builtin scraper surrounding the rim. A use case I have in mind... we use a regular spoon to skim/scrape chilled fat off the top of soup, gravy, stew, etc., this will be a game changer if it delivers as promised.

I see it like knives. You can do everything with one, yet there are all kinds of task-specific blades. There are some/many who will derive some pleasure/satisfaction from it.

I can see how the rim, shallow bowl, and length of the handle, would make it good for basting fried eggs, or steaks. Plus, making skimming stuff off the surface of liquids easier. Those already make it more than a "unitasker".

Also, seeing a dedicated spoon tells other folks "get the h*ll outa my kitchen. I didn't ask for your cr*p *ss suggestions".

    Listeria builds character!

I'd be willing to do a head-to-head comparison. Not to fight, but to be a glutton, and gorge on ice cream all day.

My maternal grandfather passed before my birth (paternal grandfather did too). He was reportedly a very disciplined and principled man - was a POW for a long spell before returning home and becoming a minister. Every once in a while, he would buy full cartons of ice cream for each of his three children and see who could eat the most/fastest.
