You eggers who have been around for a while either met, or at least knew Bobby Cresap. I remember him as a friendly, kind and gentle big man.

Sorry to hear.  May he RIP!!
The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

  • May his memory be an eternal blessing.
  • Bobby Cresap was an early pioneer in the world of BGE culinary instruction, and his personality quickly garnered him a following among EGGheads throughout the country. He will be missed. Our condolences to his family, friends and fans.
  • Bobby was monumental back in the day.  Didn’t interact with him much but he was certainly a highly regarded guy and a cornerstone supporting the growth in popularity of the egg.

Enjoyed seeing this video and wanted to share.

That's the YouTube video Bobby made of our 2018 GA Mt. Eggfest. He really liked this fest because it was "old school" with no competitions, no people's choice, etc. Just eggers getting together and doing their thing and getting caught up with each other and meeting never before seen cyber friends. I'm going to miss, Bobby. He helped a lot of eggers over his many years with Big Green Egg and he was a great competition bbq guy as well.......this was the eggfest he brought Brenda Miller with him. I'll never forget him at the after-party cooking rib eyes using his homemade rub he called the perfect seasoning. He not only gave me the remainder of the bottle, he gave me his secret recipe !! He didn't need a Thermapen.......he used his finger to test for doneness, and he was right on.........RIP, buddy.

Seldom in this age of social media will you happen to meet someone so in tune to helping you understand how to cook, even more so how to do it, not on a BGE, but how to do it on your BGE. At a time this world needs millions more people like him, sadly we lose one of the best.

Hoping the pain and suffering of his loved ones facing life after his loss, will be mitigated with the wonderful memories of him in their lives.

    Peace to all.
