I remember Hurricane Charlie when all the Tampa folks went to Orlando and that ended up being the epicenter. C'mon man cat 3 is nothing to you guys down there.

I just heard from my buddy in Homosassa and they are hunkering down since they may very well feel something, but are not in the evacuation zone though which is a bit comforting.

@BigreenGreg - I am one of those Tampa people that evacuated to Orlando INTO hurricane Charley. Also mandatory evacuated to middle of the state Winter Haven INTO Hurricane Irma. UGG.

It's been crazy here, and I am not evacuating this time. Obviously, there is no way to predict the weather and where it will go, or if it will be a wind event, rain event, or flood event. The weather people predict ALL of these on the news and freak everyone out. 

The liquor stores are doing a bang up business right now, for sure!

Oh, and I have duck breast in the freezer, so if I lose power, I will egg up some duck breasts!

@Florida Grillin Girl best of luck. If you do decide to evacuate head West as soon as you reach I-10. Category 3 is no bueno.

thats about how i look at a noreaster coming my way..... good luck down there. ducts a good cook, wind helps with searing temps

side note, covid brought people from down south up here, family a few lots over on the lake built a beautiful house a couple years back and duct taped the cross pattern on all the front windows. been taped up ever since cracks me up every time i boat past it in the morning

She’s passing 4 miles west of my house on current track. Hope you FL and GA eggers are doing okay. She should just be a large storm when she arrives. Downtown folks are underwater at +7.5, city opened up the parking garages so residents can park uphill.
