The obvious question is who makes it. We already know that Royal Oak makes many private label lump products…and at varying degrees of quality.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I know Bill Arnold died several years ago. Whether he sold the rights to the Blues Hog name first or his estate did whoever bought it has branched out product wise. The new owner probably farms out the production of the sauces, rubs and this charcoal to suppliers. Or perhaps sells licensing agreements to use the name.RRP said:The obvious question is who makes it. LOL - Welcome back to the fold, John. Did you have a nice vacation and manage to catch some rays on the outer banks?JohnInCarolina said:I only use that stuff when I can find it in a squirt bottle.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
Yes and yes, Ron. Managed to get some sun without the burn - always a challenge with my Irish skin. Now I get to turn around this week and hit the road again for work!RRP said:

@jdMyers I have used Blues Hog Lump for quite some time. Very happy with it. I prefer Carbon Del Sur when I can get it. My son is a dealer and handles both.Southeast Louisiana

@Tspud1 He is a Primo dealer and stocks many rubs, sauces, bbq supplies, pizza ovens and several of the most popular gassers, Blaze, Napoleon, Renaissance, LeGriddle, Traeger pellet grills and a host of others. His specialities are custom outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, pergolas, landscaping, outdoor lighting, sprinkler systems, hardscaping and stone work.

@Tspud1 And I forgot outdoor furniture. Biggest seller is a Pollywood product made by the Amish. I have 4 of the swivel rockers that I absolutely love.Southeast Louisiana

A forum friend turned me on to Blues Hog sauces and rubs years ago. I have been using them in bulk, and have yet to notice any difference. If they are farming out their sauces and rubs, whoever is doing it, is doing it very well."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
