How is there this much profit to be had in golf?  I usually put it on Sunday afternoon when I am ready for nap.  I do look at the magazines though, but only for the pictures, not the articles.  I like to see the watches the players are wearing.
I think it's the demographics more than the total numbers. The people who play and watch golf have plenty of disposable income and if you're trying to promote investment services, watches, cars and boner pills, where else you gonna spend your advertising dollars?

Let’s see how many “upset” PGA players sit out…..the lower ranked guys on Tour are the ones in trouble. Some of The LIV and DP guys will easily bump these players back down to the Korn Ferry circuit.

I think it's pretty clear that the financial hit from Covid and with the increased money spent for PIP, purses and huge legal fees due to LIV, the PGA Tour was literally running out of money.
Could be the tour acted as a bullying monopoly for decades and they were also at great risk of losing their position.

They either resign or they are the very devil they claimed the others to have been. It’s simply priceless from a hypocrisy standpoint. This goes for all the media that make their living covering this abomination. 😁🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Not really a fair comparison, but you probably know that, or should. Big difference between those who willingly chose to take the blood money from "scary mother-f'ers" and anyone choosing to remain with a Tour it once trusted to do the right thing. Monahan is the hypocrite, not the players who you for some reason want to hold to an unfair standard.

Any truth to the rumors that the Americans are responsible for holes 1-8 and 12-18 while the Saudis are responsible for 9-11?

This whole dustup seems to mostly be about people who would like to watch golf from the comfort of their own homes and not feel the least bit guilty about it.

For a game that caters to gambling among competitors, the LIV guys took the bet and cleaned up.......

They might, but based on some of the tidbits coming out I'd say the jury is definitely still out on that. Then again, I thought LIV was going to fold after another year of very little revenue coming in so clearly I have no idea.
