Long time lurker but don’t post much. I was gifted this Chuck roast from Snake River Farms and I have no idea what to do with it. My wife wants to make a roast out of it but I think we should grill it or something. Any ideas?

I’m watching this as well. Seems a waste to cook it like a traditional tough pot roast.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

Barbacoa A La Cen Tex. Can’t forget the pickled onions.

Tough question as a chuck cut benefits from low and slow cooking and dang near every time with a braise. I would give them a call and see what they offer as I did not see a chuck roast on their website.Wish I had more-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Maybe a little low and slow with some smoke followed by a 20 hour sous vide and then a sear.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

With as much marbling as that I would treat it like a steak. I would reverse sear it indirect, and then drop it in the coals caveman style. It doesn’t appear that thick.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

I have been using Kamado Joe Big Block from Lowe’s. I never knew you could get such good coal at a store like that. The chunks are huge! My egg always went out when I tried the other stuff. Too many small pieces but not anymore!

All rubbed up and ready for some smoke.

Well, it was really good! Was super tender but some spots were more than others. I chopped it up and ate it in a sandwich mixed with some sweet baby rays. It was awesome. If it gets any better than this I don’t want to know about it! Thank you all for the help. I have to find out where my friend got this meat
