retired intown townie cop stole my boat. what would you do, seems like a no win situation for me. all i see is just let all the neighbors know that he stole my little 300 dollar mirrorcraft. theres no paperwork so reporting it will be pointless. theres going to need to be some payback though.....

Did you have a Protected by Smith & Wesson bumper sticker on it?  Are there no good guys with guns near you?

    Well that sux.

Remember that revenge is a dish best served cold. In the meantime, print out that picture of the van full of goats, and tape it to his windshield.

There's a few folks here on the forum that would love to don all their tactical gear (tho I suspect some probably sleep with it all on - just to be safe y'know) and load up and deliver some sweet, sweet justice.

Will start with two eyes for an eye but that's not enough. That's just getting even.

Maybe give them a torn hundred bucks and when I see something in the paper they get the second half. I'm missing the old days..,

he has it two houses over with a motor on it, claims the last owner of my house let him leave it there 30 years ago. last owner says it was theirs and it goes with the house when i bought it 23 years ago. dont need the hassle of his friends randomly pulling me over. two sons, ones an officer, the other is a straight out thief, both are heavy into drugs. my other neighbors on vacation this week, they asked me to put there trash outside on trash day so that this guy wouldnt know they were on vacation. thats the kinda guy he is. i get home yesterday and put their trash out and see the boat gone, thought the kid stole it so said something......no, its the belligerent dad.
i could go on about the things he has done to neighbors, breaking and entering, caught on tape in upstairs bedrooms, peeping tom with a new neighbor girl etc. always gets brushed away when reported

kinda hoping the new siding means he is selling

If you have proof go to the media and run the story if you can’t get it straightened out. Don’t be afraid of this guy. Maybe others in the department hate him too. Record everything when talking to any policeman. They are not above the law and someone will have your back.

There are actually news organizations beyond Twitter in case you haven’t heard. Why are people afraid of a dirty cop? If it gets overlooked it just gets worse.

Back in the 70’s the local cops pulled over this long haired hippie in a Beetle. They completely tore it apart, ripped seats, removed door panels and bumpers etc. just had a fine old time. In the end they tossed him his keys and waved him at a chassis surrounded by spare parts. He pocketed the keys, walked to a pay phone and called his Dad the District Attorney. The cops had to reassemble his car , repair any damages , and detail it.

did a beer run back in the 80's to canada thru the nh border. on they way back the border security worked their arses off checking the truck for drugs, hub caps off, air cleaner removed and the carb checked wityh a flashlight, they removed about an eighth of a chord of wood, all the camping and fishing gear. at one point they found a 1950's pack of lucky strikes in a fly vest, they thought they struck gold for a few minutes.  for the 45 minutes they took, we had set up a table and chairs and drank cold canadian bradors.......they put it all back though.  thats back when reagan made it possible to confiscate the car truck boat etc if drugs were found, all they found was that we arrived with too many beers and that problem was fixed quickly

  • Sounds like your mind was made up before you ever posted about this. You decided to just go the revenge route. I understand how you feel. When I was younger that’s how my friends and I rolled. We were some pretty mean guys that took no crap. If we were crossed you can bet there would be payback. I would rather try a legal route and see the justice system work now. If the justice system is broken then try to fix it. Seeing a dirty cop held to account is better revenge than keying his truck or shooting his dog or whatever plan is in the works. You asked what we would do…I’d try the legal road. If all else fails then you still have revenge as a backup.

there is no legal route that will work other than taking him to court and that would still bring repercussions . officers highly protect their retired.  i used to run huge frat parties, the key was to hire a retired cop and put him outfront to talk to the guys in the cruiser. never had a problem releasing 2000 drunks out of the house at 10 pm from the town. his gig was every thursday night from 7:30 to ten or all the kegs were empty, 22 kegs and a fully stocked liquor bar and 2000 underage college students. 300 bucks cash worked wonders

Some reason you don't want to go retrieve the boat, bring it back home and lock it up?

i could see this guy poisoning my dog.  theres been dogs and cats poisoned in the past in the neighborhood plus a few breakins. when caught he tells you things like your door was open, your septic alarm was going off etc, just a full con. someone pennied the electric outlet on my other neighbors house, she had a light on her flagpole and it lines up with his bedroom window. burnt the wire in the wall. theres always one arse in a neighborhood

this would be fun, he has a rolls royce kit car he likes to drive around in, topless, would be easy to find the car in a parking lot somewhere.  i would still need to see him spend about 2 grand for the 300 dollar  dub tub though. having the inspector make him remove the siding thats not permitted would be nice, but its too soon, he would know it was me. give it a year and there will be something else that comes along and he will suspect everyone in the neighborhood
