It was so good to hear all the names I recognized from so long a go. It was good to see so many people helping eggers out with questions and problems..I enjoyed reading the posts from so many of the eggers that taught how to cook/smoke on my egg.Thanks for the memories.I’m going to follow this forum. Good to see so many old timers on this forum. I’m going to go the Facebook page to see who is online. Does anyone have the exact site name. RRP I lived in Centralia for along time. I have moved to Columbus Indiana about 8 years ago. I opened up BBQ restaurant which I ran until I had 2 bouts of cancer. It has been a good run and a good life. Do you know the name of the guy who ran the first forum. I think it was somebody named Miller.

    Miller was the guy.  This forum follow the what are chef_ing thread. That's where the real cooks are posted.  Way upscale from the old days.

    No, Tom, my wife and I grew up in Centralia, MO - not IL. And actually we clearly left Centralia, MO in August, 1966 when we moved to P-town! Sorry to hear of your cancer...been there - done that...and HAPPY to still be kicking! Carry ON, KIND SIR!!!

    YES! How did you know that??? We were long gone by that time. Both of our parents homes escaped the damage from that natural gas line spurge caused by a worker with a backhoe. I believe 17 homes - mostly all older homes essentially blew up and burnt…

    The Original....Eggfest OG's is the correct page for the gathering we had in F'burg. The page continues even after that event, quite actively. There are so many other FB BGE pages that we are on, so there's not one that stands out as the main one I follow or post on.
