I just got a "special offer" from them a couple weeks ago: six weeks of free membership!  What, do they expect me to upload my photo library during that six weeks, and then agree to pay their $400/yr fee because they have all my photos?  Seriously?

Left Canada and we are now in northern 

Michigan visiting friends. They have about 1,000 acres which completely surrounds this lake. Last nights sunset was glorious, loons calling across the lake this morning - very peaceful.

When I was a neophyte photo geek, and stationed in Albuquerque, I got a few sunset shots like this, although the Sandia Mountains were to my back, not in front of me.  
I soon learned that a region-wide windstorm, which died down in the evening, was the best way to grab a cool sunset shot; the dust in the air really brought out the warm tones in the air.
