Thoughts on the Elon Musk offer?  If he gets it, things will definitely change on Twitter!

Certainly allowing false information, some of which is potentially dangerous, under the pretense of free speech to a gullible electorate will make peddlers and consumers of that information happy, as well as thinning the herd, so to speak.   FWIW, I could not give less of a sh*t.

The brilliant move will be if he dumps his shares and tanks Twitter, it’s a win win for him, his goal will be accomplished either way….he has that much money in his couch cushion

my money is on the latter , he dumps his shares, it’s a useless platform

  • I wonder if he made the offer when he was drunk at midnight too.

    @Langner91 for Prez!
I’ve tried, but I cannot agree with this.

It really doesn’t seem very Musk-like to buy something vs build his own.

I heard he thought about buying Truth social too, but he’s still waiting for his account to be approved…

Thank god the nazis will come back.  Place is pretty boring with just regular people who think fascism is bad.  This should liven it up a bit.

  • Social media is mostly one sided as far as the top ones like Facebook and Twitter. Is run by liberals that don't want any ideas out there that may sway a person to free thought. Much like keeping the slave uneducated so they didn't learn truth. We don't need to shut down discussions because you believe people are too ignorant to come to their own conclusions. Right or wrong people need to have the platforms to hear it all.

Here are the top ten Facebook pages within the last 24 hours, according to an account on Twitter that calculates these things:

Then why are "conservatives" banning books right and left?

I'm not aware of the ones you speak of. Are you talking about porn in school books or just all books? Not sure of the content you speak of.

An example of Facebook doing it is all the things they would not allow during the covid outbreak. They banned many doctors and experts that had different opinions and would take down videos or comments at their discretion. Much has now been proven to be true or at least has merit. So much was unknown yet they limited all this information and discussion. This is just one example.

Ask Florida Gov. DeSantis why he banned a few dozen MATH books from being used in Florida schools. Ask him  for the titles of those books. Ask him for the specific passages of each of thos books that he found "offensive".

How about they were banning all post or discussion that the virus was probably man made? After a year they stopped due to the facts pointing to it being a high probability it was in fact man made.

This goes with all the discussions of the vaccine effectiveness or alternative treatment. They shut down everything and just labeled it as misinformation when in fact they didn’t know the facts themselves. Politics is even worse.

There are no facts that point to it being a high probability that the virus was man made.  I don’t know where you’re getting your information from, but I would seriously start questioning it if I were you.

There are plenty of other problems with your other statements but I’ve got bigger fish to fry. Good luck to you.

And the plot thickens.  20% plus Twitter accounts are fake or “bot” accounts.  Reminds me of another forum!
