Meat Please?

This interaction happened this last weekend.  My dog smelled the yummy delicious aroma of pork butt resting in my cooler.  He kept standing under it and coming over to tell me he would very much like some.

PLEEEASE! PLEASY PLEEEEASE???

I was laughing so hard at him, I had to take pictures and video.  Poor little guy with the torturous magnified sense of smell.

Yes, I caved.  He got a smidge a bit later.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

My buddy did a pork butt for our bourbon group 3 weeks ago. Let it ride all night while working (he’s an ER doc). Got home at 6, pulled it and put it in an ice chest. His daughters 140# German shepherd ate it while he was asleep…….we had hotdogs 😂

Wow. I fed our dog a bunch of ham one Christmas, woke up the next morning and stepped in it, literally had to shovel the vomit off my bedroom floor.

I had a wire haired dachshund devour a16lb ham at a family reunion. Snuck into my cousin's van to get at it. We found him laying on his side, belly all distended with his muzzle covered in grease. Thought for sure he was gonna be sick for days. Didn't faze him one bit. This is also the dog that ate a 5lb can of Crisco solid with zero affect.

I would be careful around that dog, especially if you wake up to find him staring at you.
    Love you bro!

Those that would mess with a Doxie should be aware they were bred to hunt badgers, underground!  They're on my shortlist for the bravest breeds.

Aside from being a glutton, he was my favorite dog of all time. Utterly useless in almost every aspect, but he was my bud that's for sure.

But as @dbCooper said, fearless when it came to me. He would try to bite my mother if she tried to shake me to wake me up. He got backhanded more than once. As for bravest breeds, I agree along with Jack Russells.

@RyanStl I can still feel it between my toes… like when you put your foot down in the bottom of a lake… does that help?

    I'll make this short:

Daughter, and her partner, have a wire haired dachshund.
Used to live in our rental, while finishing up college.
I would take care of the yard.
Every week go up, mow it, cleaning up.
Dog had a 15 foot radius from the front door.
Easy to find the poop they would never clean up.
    Within the poop were socks.
Yes, socks. The freakin' dog ate socks and passed them through.
    Dog is still alive.
Socks could probably still be worn.
    Wish I had taken pictures.

Seen that with panties. Never met the dog and it took me a while to figure out why there were rolled up panties on the back side of a grass hill I used to mow at a apartment complex.
