Well I’m wanting to forgo the bbq sauce . Had mentioned it to just show how I used it today and it was mundane.

I make this for pork loins.
Maple cream sauce:
2 t white wine
1 shallot finely chopped
1 T pure maple syrup
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and white pepper to taste
Cook wine and shallot over high heat. Add syrup and cream and bring to a boil. Reduce until slightly thickened.

@alaskanassasin highly recommend making it. The recipe comes from one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Memphis called The Majestic. I highly recommend making the whole meal. Here is an article from Memphis Magazine that lays it all out.

I usually make a cherry sauce:
1 cup fresh cherries or 4 oz dried cherries
1 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup water
Pinch of Kosher salt
Simmer for 30 minutes
Finish with a tablespoon of unsalted butterLarge Egg, PGS A40 gasser. -
Here's a plum sauce we use.
Ingredients
· 1 can 16 oz. purple plums, pitted and pureed
· 2 TBL butter
· 1 small onion diced
· 1/3 cup brown sugar
· 1/4 cup chili sauce
· 2 TBL. soy sauce
· 2 tsp. lemon juice
· 1 tsp ground ginger
Directions
Sauté onion in butter until clear, 4-5 minutes
Mix pureed plums and all ingredients together, add to the onion and bring to a boil, simmer 25 to 30 minutes.
It will thicken and become a beautiful red color
