Anyone seen or used the Turbo Trusser before?  Search function came up empty.  Looks simple, dishwasher safe, made in America, price is right - probably getting $30 of my money

I’m going to wait for the BGE branded version.

fwiw, I don’t like trussing for frying, I let ‘em swing free.
    Love you bro!

I bought it for rotisserie cooks on my genesis gas grill. Looks like it will arrive today.

I find it is a pain to truss and keep the bird stable on the spit. This was last night tied up with string.

Not sure it would be worth it for non roti cooks

Looking forward to the results.  I hate trussing, but on the rotisserie it is necessary.

Don't tell your problems to people.  80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

  • done, thanks for the tip.  I hate this step with doing a roti bird.  This looks so simple I might use the joetisserie more with it.  I am now $30 less rich.

Anyone else use this thing? I got one and used it for the first time. Followed directions to a T, but it failed to hold the bird together on the 'tisserie. Legs fell out and one of the wing holders came off. Disappointing, but I'll give it another try one of these days.

That's about like the problem I used to have with my hot air fryer. The wings and legs flopped NO MATTER how I tried until I learned that I simply HAD to truss them - PERIOD, like it or not!

I’m just missing how easy it is to truss a bird with nothing , just tuck your junk

Guess the junk in my hot air fryer birds just never are long enough to tuck!

My junk was too short to tuck... maybe that should be the title to a new C~W song, huh?
  • I guess (read this as "know") that I am old fashioned and set in my ways. String is a multi-purpose tool (as are knives). Too easy and really works. But that's just me and my $.02.

I bought and used this over the holiday to fry a couple of birds.  It was super easy to truss, and helped the birds fry more evenly.  It was worth it to me, others will find more value in using their $30 on something else. I respect that too.

This sort of thinking is why we're all so good for each other.
