…to run your BGE inside the house? Though I guess it’s pretty hard to beat the convenience of having your BGE within reach of your seat at the dining room table.

Is this the official, recommended placement of the grill? If so, I’ve been doing it wrong.

Also, who drinks red with turkey? What kind of uncouth savages do they think we are?!

Enough that I wouldn’t let them be caught dead drinking red with turkey - in this case, quite literally.

An excellent well aged Pinot Noir is always part of Thanksgiving turkey meal.

If there were only two items, one would be Pinot.

I prefer canned cranberry sauce (Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry) to any home made cranberry.  It may be my favorite part of the meal.

There I feel better.  Sharing is emotionally uplifting.

@Ozzie_Isaac - the classic artwork of the seams in the Ocean Spray presentation really set it off!

I like a nice Cru Beaujolais with Turkey.  Nothing wrong with a read wine with turkey. Nothing wrong with a white wine either

I thought about doing that during SNOWVID in February when the power was out and it was below freezing inside my house.

    Then I did some cipherin'.

"If I just run it at a low temp it won't produce much CO2 - so that might be safe... but with the vents barely open it won't produce much heat because ultimately the amount of heat produced is proportional to the amount of fuel burned..." so I was never able to escape the laws of physics.

Based on the fact that I gave this serious consideration it probably won't surprise you that I prefer red wine with poultry - because I prefer red wine with everything.  Some of us are uncouth savages.
You didn’t have to be cooking! Make something at high temps, close it up, wheel into dining room, heat cold house. Genius.

@Botch Surely scuba tanks and mask.
You may want to check out the studies regarding CO and N-95 or less worthy masks.  You could be setting yourself for quite a surprise-could end just like that pesky COVID critter.   =)

A Beaujolais Villages goes great with turkey also, but I’m an uncouth savage.

I was thinking the same. What if they have a nice table outside? For BGE photo shoots, and such.

That turkey looks like it was cooked in the oven, maybe deep fried.  That egg is cold, probably an early Festivus gift to the man of the house.

  • Has anyone considered the possibility that they just brought the Egg inside so that it could have a seat at the table just like everyone else in the family?

There’s a first time for everything, skippy.

Enjoy this feeling. Won’t last long.

And don’t feel bad that it is something so inconsequential. It’s still pretty good for you!
