Yeah, all our cans are full.  I've been dumping my trash in my neighbor's cans.  We gave up on recycling, everything is going into the trash wastestream right now.  I might start taking trash to my shop.  I have three big cans there and yes, I've had people dump some disgusting smelling crap in them since he storm.  They've been picked up once.  In all fairness, we did get one pickup at the house.

Regardless of the smell it might be better to carefully burn garbage. It will attract rats, flies, and disease otherwise. Or perhaps compost what can be.

I was thinking about getting a Breeo or something like that to burn tree debris.

PSA - don't throw lithium batteries in a fire (unless you like huge fireballs and loud explosions)...

I almost puked cleaning out this freezer.  The stuff of nightmares.  My buddy joked it would get picked up from the curb faster if I wrote "works" on it.  I'm not that cruel, so I wrote "worked"...
