Love it. Definitely can't let my wife see it, for obvious reason, lol
If you don't mind me wondering, may be it's the camera angle/perspective or my glasses, the two posts look small relative to the structure. Also, can't tell if they are resting on concrete footing or buried into the soil.
Reason not so obvious to me. She would want the same? Mine’s been talking about an outdoor kitchen for some time, but our reno to-do list is long enough that it’ll be a long time, if we ever even get there.

Have a buddy who did a great job on his home a few years back. Did it all himself with some help. Poured concrete counters. Actually fun to have a drink and some snacks in the dead of winter.

The post are 6x6 and sit on footers 40in deep and set in cement. In the early stage of construction the framing was supported by smaller braces
Picture of the footer and post in place before pouring cement

My nephew has finished the wiring and is now waiting for inspection. After they say ok we'll get the framing inspector out and with their blessing we carry on.

Mark b good  I'm just to dang short to get a picture. The best I can do for now.

Sorry for  the late update, had to get a blood refill
Awesome and the filled that valley to create a pitch where the two roofs meet, for drainage?

I wouldn’t share this photo too widely if I were you.  You don’t want too many people knowing which board on your house you’ve buried treasure behind!

You be careful, now. Build a space like that, and a bunch of us may just show up announced

Great addition.  Impressive time-line as well.  Perfect timing to maximize the coming seasons.

  • Time of construction amazes me there.  Out here, first it's really hard to find reputable workers, then getting them to do it in a timely manner is a whole other thing.  Very nice what you have had done.

    Gutters installed

The ceiling fan is up and six of the fourteen lights are installed

We will install seven more lights and four electrical outlets this evening completing the electrical work

Great job! Does it get cold enough there to warrant putting in vinyl curtains/encloser, like I have on my cover patio?

It can get cold but nothing like you folks up north. Can you cook with those on. Your place looks great.
I  will be installing a blind on the south and west side to block the sun. I can take the heat or cold just not the rain and snow falling on me.
Yes, I might be a wimp but dry

Rivers Edge is definitely a class act that goes above your expectations. They will be working for us again soon.

Mark_b_Good they're going to fly the drone over and get a good picture of the roof for me.

@MasterC - as had been said above, that level of professional performance and customer engagement is off the chart.  Definitely a company that gets it and I'm sure their job list is measured in several months.  Enjoy!

Very cool eggdom you have now, @MasterC.

If I could get a project like yours done, in the time that you did, with the contractor/builder throwing in some goodies like that... i'd go buy a lottery ticket.

Looks like they did a good job, and are worth recommending to others.

Received some pictures from the drone flyover I thought I'd share

And a couple of where the roofs intersect and how they eliminated the valley

The weather hasn't been to inviting yet but I have managed to light an egg or two a few times. Spring is almost here
