    A longer recovery time for a new knee, than a new hip (which I don't understand) but everyone I know, once completed, they're very happy.

    Awesome, be careful! an acquaintance of mine had a knee replacement 3 weeks ago, fell and opened the incision ....got infected went back to the hospital and never recovered......you never know

    sure it will be fine, my brother had both ankles replaced last year. dont google star total ankle replacement.  only problems ive seen is thhe patient not doing the the recommended exercises afterwards. brothers first was better than the second, walking on the beach was better than boots in the snow so your timing may be better

    Good luck, hope everything goes well. I had mine replaced on New Year’s Eve (I know, I know, but it was the only date I could get before the end of the year - had already met deductible and catastrophic cap). 

    Had to go back to the OR in late March for a MUA to break up the scar tissue. 

    Headed back to the OR on 14JUL for an arthroscopy to surgically remove scar tissue that is causing pain and limiting ROM. 

    MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

    You have to be up and about. Short walks every hour or so.

    Also bonus…the bidet seat sits up a bit higher than a regular seat so lowering my booty down is a little easier.

    I've been looking for a Handicap toilet for my main bathroom, just for the added height (I have a 37" inseam, and old (but original) knees.

    Way to bite the bullet and get it done.  I delayed hip replacement (with work arounds for too long) and am still dealing with the knock-on impact of that decision.  Hopefully the PT makes noticeable improvement in ROM.  Here's to a prompt full recovery.  
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
