Grillgrates - for the flat side

Kinda tempted about Grillgrates. Seen Malcom Reed use em on his egg and knock some burgers outta the park. But I’m even more tempted with the flat side on the backs. Anybody used them for that? I’ve got a 17” lodge cast iron rectangular griddle I’ve used but the grease pools up gets licked by the fire and I have a helluva grease fire. But with the GG’s it looks like the grease would slowly drip down thru the tiny holes and burn as you cook.
