Day Off Cooks & Random Garden Pics

I have a ton of Russian red kale from the garden to use so I'm doing short ribs and kale sautéed in garlic & shallots for dinner.
For now some simple bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers stuffed with cream cheese.
Onto the random garden pics... Peppers are just sprouting but I saved a few plants inside through the winter so I have a few almost ready. The plants saved are pretty rough, they went through a hurricane while still planted in the ground before being moved in for the winter.
Remnants of the kale harvest and some chives I need to use. Just learned you can eat the flowers too.

Not sure why the pics all turn sideways on this forum all of a sudden.
One more sideways one... Just noticed my mini max base is cracked. Probably won't do anything about it unless it starts causing an issue but that's the first crack in 8 years of two eggs.

Onto the ribs...

Into the braise. Just really simple Wine and tomato paste. There is plenty of seasoning on the ribs already.

That's a fine meal. I'd hit that all night long. The fact that some of it came from your garden is a bonus. Great post.
