@Gulfcoastguy are you happy with it?

We're selling out old gas mower tomorrow at a garage sale. I really need to hit the lawn with this and make sure we're happy with it.

$199 (new) on woot! with 4.0 and 2.5 A/hr batteries.  Seems pretty well made and good reviews.  Crossing my fingers.

So far but I have only used it once. I believe mine is Ego but the same voltage. I don’t use the bag. My lot is 85 by 118 feet including 2 driveways, the house and detached garage so 45 minutes of running covers it all.

I wanted to buy the Ego since I have their blower and string trimmer plus 2 56V batteries but it was around $350 for their cheapest mower with no batteries.

Please let me know how you like this.  We have campers that like to mow their own lot.  I have been wanting a rechargeable mower.  The main reason is for the noise.  Currently we have a 2 stroke push mower that is a bit noisy.

Edit:  Now I see what you paid and as I was looking, my experience was similar to yours with only being able to find them in the $350+ range.  Used gassers can go for $25-$50.  Campers don't really take care of our stuff, so I don't let them use anything good.

I like it, works great.  Mowed the front of our house and the neighbor's on the smaller 2A/hr battery.  Quiet compared to the gas mower.  Used it to "rake" up some leaves in the alley, lowered the deck and it was like a vacuum cleaner.  Didn't leave any weird patterns in the grass and I didn't notice any stray stuff it missed.   The stock sharpen on the blades isn't very sharp (probably a liability), but I'm going to sharpen them anyway because I can.

I have e never seen one of these in a house before in Canada. Have seen in a rental in AZ though. Must be another regional thing.

It's best to chop them coarsely first, doesn't bog down the motor as much and stops the annoying screaming much sooner.

Also, if you don't, you can void the warranty.

I know you probably arent going to listen or care but that thing is a POS. It would go 6 months or so then start leaking around the flange and I would have to take it apart and clean and reinstall. Dis this several times before I replaced it with an insinkerator or however you spell it and its much quieter and doesnt leak. All the 1 star reviews on costco website are due to leaking.

Agreed. I’ve seen them here in Canada, but they are not very common.

Flowers for SWMBO to plant in the beds. I'm the lawn guy, she's the flowerbed gal. There are no compromises there.

No, I appreciate the heads-up.  It has a crack in the housing and the QC looks substandard and was thinking about taking back to Costco anyway.  I'll get the insinkerator.  Thanks.

I had the feeling I wasn't the only one.  Living in a cardboard box on I-10 is a challenge

We have a smallish yard and I've been using a WORX battery powered for several years. Couldn't be happier with it.

I recently purchased two Sonos Connect Amps to provide music to my deck area. They are a vast improvement compared to using zone 2 and 3 on my home theater receiver.

    I highly recommend them.

I have also replaced my Tivo dvr with a HdHomeRun Connect 4K tunner for my tv antenna.
    https://www.silicondust.com/product/hdhomerun-connect-4k/

It has four tuners that are capable of 4k. The really cool thing about the device is that it converts the tv signal into ethernet. The signal from the antenna can then be viewed over any device in the home that is on the network, wired or wireless connection.
The HdHomeRun is running on an Nvidia Shield, the  Shield also runs the Channels DVR software that records to my network storage NAS. The auto commercial skipping is fantastic.

It's a really cool setup that is much better than my Tivo.
