Do you just assume women are screaming at you?

the last time was a single cat lady neighbor with one of her cats 50 foot up a tree and my dog running around all happy. her hands were on her hips, she was jumping up and down, and silence. so im not really sure......i guess ill never know =)

the second time she just went across the street from me to borrow a ladder, cat was down before she got back. i told her i climbed up the tree......she did the same thing. like watching a mime
These days the only **** I chase is the variety that climbs trees.

I've been jonesing for a wireless thermometer for a couple years now.  So many temp controllers/trackers I've purchased since getting my Eggs in ~2011 have either not worked or died within a couple years.  ThermoWorks had been kinda late to the wireless game, until their RFX series came out recently.  Things I liked about their new system:

    - Their probes had five spaced thermocouples along the length of their probes, individually monitored,
    - Their probes were quite thin compared to their competitors,
    - My ThermoWorks gear is the only stuff that hasn't crapped out on me, they build quality stuff.

But lately I've been seeing posts about this new "Typhur" system, mostly positive reviews; things I like about this system:

    - Their probes have five spaced thermocouples along their probes, individually monitored,
    - Their probes store/charge directly in the receiver unit,
    - (the big one:) The base unit has its own display, and doesn't require a smartphone to control it.

I watched a few ewetubes comparing these and a few other remote thermo's.  Highest praises for the above two units, and requiring the use of a smartphone by the ThermoWorks was a hit against it for me (I've had bad luck connecting simpler IoT gear to my WIFI, for years).  Then, after comparing the best Black Friday prices for both, I sprang for the Typhur, at less than half the price of the RFX.  The Man In The Brown Shorts™ delivered it this afternoon.

Oh, and after plugging it in with a 5V/USB-C line I had open, and not seeing any lights, I grabbed the included cable (no charger) which also had a USB-C plug, and it works; dammit, I thought all USB-C connectors should be compatible, at least for charging.  F me.
