Award Winning Brisket Chili Heaven

I have seen this recipe from the Underwoods floating around on the forum for years.  This is my second time making it and I am amazed that it is total perfection.  I made a few modifications, cut back cayenne, added black beans.  So good my friends and family are always requesting it.  I plan to cook an extra brisket in the future just to have one in the freezer to make chili on demand.  You need to give this a try.  Recipe can be found on the forum or the Underwoods website

Everything they make is amazing!! Wonderful people, and that RUB!! Oh it's so good. Power blend on a rack of beef ribs may be the best bbq I ever made.

You can make that same chili recipe and not use brisket, it tastes great with good ole ground beef too!

  • I had a brisket fail but the chili I made afterwards was stunning.  Thanks for the recipe!

Looks outstanding!  It will be even BETTER today, after being in the fridge overnight. Enjoy!!

Agreed. Chili and spaghetti sauce always benefit from some time in the fridge or freezer, IMO.
