This is a sped-up summary of an outdoor kitchen build

...it's not me, and he doesn't use an Egg, but it clarified some processes for me (for instance, I've never done concrete work in my life).  Makes it look a little bit simpler...  :)

EDIT:  Hmm, that link takes you to his channel.  I found the build link, but this one is not sped-up, it's 17 minutes long:

  • Pretty good build. My only "criticism" is that he didn't use a hot enough torch for a true shou sugi ban style

  • I'm glad you clarified that this wasn't you, Botch.  I would have been really confused otherwise.  ;)

Does the torch actually need to be hotter or just throw a larger heat pattern? The Map Pro gas is pretty darn hot. Just throws a smaller flame.

I should clarify. He would have been better off using a larger torch (think weed burner). Something that will cover the board in a single, slow pass

Huh.  I learned a whole hell of a lot more with the longer video!  And a wood finishing technique I'd never heard of, to boot.

I have watched other videos from him and I like them. I definitely learned some things watching it.

The cooking nerd in me immediately noticed:
    1. He built the cut out way too small when he wants to upgrade to the largest pellet grill.
    2. No counter space.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
