Since the fun thread was just killed .... WTF, Cash should be fired. Snell was dealing a game and Cash pulled him before Betts who struggles against lefties and murders righties?  WTF
And the third time through the order Snell turns righties into a better Mike Trout.  Snell was dealing in Game 2 too, until he hit his wall in the 5th and went walk, HR, walk, single.

Nope, not true.  His OPS is better 3rd time than first time for last 2 years.  Also Mookie's 3rd time seeing a starting pitcher his OPS drops.  Mookie's OPS against LHP is .531.  Against RHP it is 1.061!  Snell had struck Mookie out 3 times this series and walked him once.  Analytics do not support this decision at all.

I stood up and cheered when he pulled Snell, that was the absolute best pro-Dodger's move Cash could have made.

They asked Mookie about the move after the game and his smile said it all.

So, you'll use Snell's numbers over 2 years but Mookie's super small sample size from this season?  Righties had a 1.072 OPS in their third view of Snell this season (and against everyone it was .913, which is actually slightly better than his second time through the lineup).  Snell was reaching his ending point regardless - he didn't pitch 6 full innings once this season, the last time he managed that was last July.  Add in Snell's rapid collapse in Game 2 and pulling him was an entirely defensible move.

If you want to rip Cash for anything, going immediately to Anderson is the bigger judgement error.

I may not know much about baseball, but I do know how to use the google machine.  You might be on to something.

I don’t know, parking a rental car in San Francisco three blocks from the stadium during a game, loaded with half a mil of jewelry and stuff, that doesn’t really help with the A-Rod debate, does it?

No, the opposite. Lots of people are pissed saying he's too old, too white, and won't relate to today's younger more socially conscious players.

That's too bad. They could learn a thing or two from the old man and perhaps he could from them as well...

@SonVolt - your summary was certainly the hot dialog beginning yesterday.
La Russa is a very close friend of the White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf who has owned the team (or part of it) since the early 1980's.  Time will tell.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I can't speak for anyone else, but it's a tad depressing because this could add another 15 minutes to each and every game the Sox play against my Twins. He might be old, but if you want a team to use nine pitchers every night, he's your guy.

If only he could overlook bat flips and actions to promote social justice like he overlooked massive steroid use by his players.
