Not to long ago @caliking posted up his moms curry recipe and I had to give it a go. After a trip to my local Asian market I had all the ingredients except Black Cardamom. A few PMs back n forth with Cali to find out if there was anything I could sub for the BC he asked for my address and I had the Cardamom in my mailbox shortly there after. H€LL of a gesture from a great guy.  Thank you sir.

Tonight was the night for this to happen.  I was too busy reading the recipe to make sure I didn’t screw something up and I forgot to take a in cook pics.  Got one right as I was bringing it inside

Since the egg was hot I toasted up some Naan

Then we feasted. Served up with Basmati Rice

My color was off according to the pic @Canugghead when he made it.  Any suggestions as to why are welcome.  Nonetheless the flavor profile was incredible and will be repeated for sho.  Thanks again @caliking for the P and the help with the spices.

As a side note Mrs3969 said it was some of best curry she’s ever had. 👍

We need more friends like @caliking. Looks mighty fine to me.  I wouldn't worry too much about the colour, sometimes it's the camera lighting. Mrs3969 knows her curry!

I also wouldn't worry too much about color, because that looks great.  However, in my experience, the biggest color driver in curry is the type and amount of tumeric, then to a lesser extent, paprika and chile powder (or the chiles themselves.

Not to hijack, but last year (i think anyway) someone had a link or recipe to a CTM chicken that they grilled on the egg. Does anyone remember this? I made it once and it was great, but can not seem to find it again. I did have @JohnInCarolina CTM pizza sauce booked marked at that time, but can not find a link or anything. I might have even just used his sauce on some grilled chicken, but i doubt it.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Nope, I may have seen the sauce here then googled and came to some other recipes. I may have even just used the sauce mentioned earlier on some thighs and grilled and just forgot how i did it. I need to start writing more stuff down
I remember the chicken almost had a crust on it afterwards. I did not chop after, it was eaten as entire pcs

Nope, the chicken was left whole at the end and the sauce had a lot of greek yogurt. It was fairly white in comparison to most of these. I am going to try using John's recipe minus the cream and a little less tomato as a marinade then grill and see how that works. At the very least it will still likely be good. Thanks for trying
