Woah! Didn't know that! But does the hinge setup need to change to allow room for that ring spacer??

The Big Joe version fits the XL very well, and it's awesome.  Fun way to change things up on the Egg.

That looks awesome!! Do you just leave the top open? It seems it won't close with that big spacer ring sitting on the bottom half.

I cook with it closed.  It's tapered to the rear, so the dome is elevated slightly in the front when fully closed.  It's a fun setup.

Did you have to adjust your hinges at all, or did it just fit right in?

No adjustments needed.  Sit the ring on the Egg, slide the rotisserie motor on the ring, stab some meat, close the lid, and let it roll!  Have fun with it!

The ring is tapered toward the back so you can just shut the dome with no adjustments.
