After all this time the UVL destroyed the plastic hubs to the point the axle collapsed. Since my table is quite heavy by itself and it is home to my large egg above the wheels and my small on the other end I could never wheel it anyway. Just the same I decided to replace with metal hubs this time. To jack the table up I used a floor jack. The most difficult thing was getting the metal retainers in the push nuts off the axle. I ended up using my SawsAll and cut them off!

Ron I have to admit I was hoping to come in here and see an upgrade to the Corvette!
    That also crossed my mind.

I was honestly expecting to wheels made of solid gold.

I had to replace the tires last winter on my '92 snowblower; still plenty of tread but they wouldn't hold air anymore.  The steel wheels were fine.

You know - I stand corrected - the most difficult thing probably was carrying and then returning that heavy floor jack from and to my garage!

I just couldn't get the Bondo to set up quick enough before the table would fall making the wheels lopsided. =)
