To your taste, personally I do them at night when it’s cooler and do pretty much a full load in the Amazn smoker, about 8 hours ....., minimum for me would be 4....

( I'm assuming the bacon is cured uncooked )

I'd let it go full load. Lit on one end...vaccum seal for a week or so sealed ( you don't have to but it gets better )

I go up to 12. Usually overnight and just pull it the am. I went 4 on my last batch This week as it was a smaller chunk. It was plenty.

Vacuum seal after the smoke and let sit for a week?

A few days at least is a good idea. You don’t have to vac seal but you can. Sometimes I just wrap in foil for a few days. Depends on how much I have already sliced and how fast I need more.

    Slice first then vac?

edit - I think I see. If you already have sliced bacon, then you can wait longer.

    Appreciate the reply!

I haven't found much difference with the time. I'd go four hours.

I have found an extreme difference in the difference between hot smoke and cold smoke. If it's cured cold smoking makes all the difference in the world.
