Can't speak to the one in Houston but the one in Brenham is solid (at least back in June).  And if @The Cen-Tex Smoker gives it an endorsement then you need to go "all in" .

 This. Check out Blood Bros too. They have some good takes on sides e.g. Thai sausage, brisket fried rice (depending on the day of week ). @20stone claims they have a great turkey sammich, but I can't verify. 

Re: Truth BBQ,  I personally would go there over Killens. Pops hates almost every place I take him to eat, but he raves about Truth. The Heights spot is about as good as the Brenham location.
