First Brisket for the game

So finally took the leap and did my first brisket.  13lb Creekstone packer.  Cooked at 250 with oak wrapped in foil at 165. Total cook time was 13hrs. Defiantly a learning experience and I have a LOT of room for improvement.  Everyone devoured it so I guess I can't complain too much.

Great job, and you'll only get better the more you do it!

That looks outstanding.  And while you will get - on average - better as you do more, don't be surprised when you do one that isn't as good.  It usually happens about the time you think "I got this".  Just know that it's part of the journey.

One of the most gratifying/frustrating cooks you can do.

This one looks awesome and if nobody complains ......... put it in the win column and brag.

Nice results for the first time....congrats.
