    @Bentgrass will they not do both at the same time? That seems to be the trend here, then its once and done. My dad did his spread apart and wished he had them done at the same time as many here now do. Less stress of going in twice

    As for the meniscectomy I had one done, and walked out of the hospital 2 hours later and went to watch my daughter at a tournament for an hour. Went home and rested then back to work in 2 days (light duty of course) for a couple weeks. This one is a pretty simple surgery, its just that things will wear out much faster now with the lack of cartilage. Mine was flipping over and locking my knee. I was nervous to kneel on that leg for a couple years.

    Just scheduled my surgery for 2-6. meniscal tear, a cyst under my patella and a fissure along the weightbearing lateral tibial plateau!

    All arthroscopic so not too bad.

    Had my tune-up this morning. Went great. I get waited on for a few days then back to the reverse roles!
    Or so I'm told.

    @dmchicago

    One thing to remember....it was surgery, and it will take a while to get 100%. Do not rush it....do the pt...

    We are not talking about a scrape on the knee...

    Best of luck, recover very soon.
