This video popped up on my EweTube; the history and process of making Tabasco Sauce. As a fan, a geopolitic fan, generally curious person and Industrial Engineer, I found this pretty fascinating. Enjoy!

Having accumulated several laps of the sun, I have been a huge fan and consumer of Tabasco for decades. Made a road-trip to visit the site (a bucket list stop) in 2016.I clearly lacked intro marriage skills- the new wife was concerned about how something she cooked would taste. My reply, "With enough Tabasco you can standardize anything." After that, it was relegated to left-overs. Live and learn.
Edit: In the event you didn't watch the entire video, here's a pearl of info:
"Tabasco is aged for three years in white oak barrels previously filled with another Southern classic: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey." FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
I have also been to Avery Island. I agree with @nolaegghead, it's a really cool place. If I'm ever in the area again, I think I will stop by again.
There are countless hot sauces on the market, but Tobasco is unique.

If you like Tabasco, and you like Tennessee Whisky, then you'll like what's called Hot Dickel; (yes, there's a joke in there).

Right up the road from my hacienda. The best is their Scorpion sauce. If you wanna sound like a local, you pronounce the H in MclHENNY. It has always amazed me that such a small factory is capable of supplying sauce to the friggin world. Incredible! The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

loved watching the video. Hard to find employees personally invested in their company like that these days. Should be an inspiration for all employers.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.
