I'm still shell-shocked that EIGHTEEN Marines were arrested for human trafficking and drug use. What the hell is going on?!?!?!!!___________"They're eating the checks! They're eating the balances!"

Define "professionally".
In our band, we say that anytime you get paid in dollars more than the beer & food you consumed while playing, makes you a "professional musician"... just wondering if the same measuring stick works here.Kansas City: Too Much City for One State - Missouri side
2 Large BGE's, Instant Pot, Anova Sous Vide, and a gas smoker...
Barbeque, Homebrew and Blues... -
@vb4677 That is a solid definition across the board. I would offer that the chef/professional deal criteria would be the kitchen you worked in.
As in- I spent a summer as a short order cook at a golf course snack bar and got paid. My going in experience was "a warm body" that would always show up. Clearly I can barely boil water and not on a BGE!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
@ColtsFan - I was laughing my backend off on this thread..
I worked all over b-town, and lived next to noble romans on kirkwood my junior year of college. (building is now gone). The apartment was above new york deli and bagel. We used to sneak through the back door of noble romans and steal cases of beer. That was my first sierra nevada pale ale.
As for jobs in btown -
McDonalds in college mall
Red Lobster on 3rd & bypass
Irish Lion with the drunkest boss I've ever had. She had to be carried out each night.
House of Hunan for a while.. that place was great..
And the resort down on the lake.. can't recall the name.
(Edit - for clarity I was a waiter at all these except McDs was a burger flipper)+++++++++++++++++++++++++++Austin, Texas. I'm the guy holding a beer.
