@JRWhitee- you get a trash induced waiver to join the Army or...??  B)
    In 1977 anyone could join...
And after the close of the draft...didn't know that.  He!! the challenge today is that around 70% of the 18-24 year old age pool can't qualify and most not for the ASVAB (intell) piece.
...nor the physical fitness test, and require drug use waivers, and tattoo waivers, and....
I'm still shell-shocked that EIGHTEEN Marines were arrested for human trafficking and drug use.  What the hell is going on?!?!?!!!

    Define "professionally".

In our band, we say that anytime you get paid in dollars more  than the beer & food  you consumed while playing, makes you a "professional musician"... just wondering if the same measuring stick works here.

@ColtsFan - I was laughing my backend off on this thread..

I worked all over b-town, and lived next to noble romans on kirkwood my junior year of college. (building is now gone).  The apartment was above new york deli and bagel.  We used to sneak through the back door of noble romans and steal cases of beer.  That was my first sierra nevada pale ale.

As for jobs in btown -
    McDonalds in college mall
Red Lobster on 3rd & bypass
Irish Lion with the drunkest boss I've ever had.  She had to be carried out each night.
House of Hunan for a while.. that place was great..
And the resort down on the lake.. can't recall the name.

(Edit - for clarity I was a waiter at all these except McDs was a burger flipper)
